I've found what sounds like a really incredible nanny position, full-time. I've made contact. Wink Please pray for God's hand to be all over it! Smile

Well, I may be interviewing for the nanny position on Thursday. I still need to get dh's okay, though. He had some doubts when I mentioned this particular position earlier (job security, distance, etc.).

Smile I have a few things that are on my need to be taken care of list.
IRS bill
INS paperwork for renewal of green card
Bus pass for C for school
If we file separation paperwork... fee for that.

Over and above a $600 need to meed my monthly budget (keeping in mind this is without help from hubby)

October, school loan repayment begins

I know God has us!! Just praying for provision and peace for the journey.
"We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." (Romans 5:3-4)

Praising God for the blessings and praying for the journey!

Father God -
Give us the faith to understand why our dollars may not stretch as far as we need or want them to.
Give us the capacity to use our skills to bless you while we "earn our earthly keep".
Help us to find work that is fulfilling, that uses our talents and blesses others. Something that stretches us a little to keep us intellectually challenged and growing. But protect us from the stress and the thoughts that torment us that our work may not be "good enough" - do not let us fall into the trap of low self esteem.
Teach us to be good stewards of the resources you provide and how we can have abundance with little - after all Jesus did feed a multitude with several loaves and fishes.
Keep us faithful to you no matter our circumstance and help us to see that what seems like a crisis now, the stresses and strains of earthly life that keep us up at night and worry us by day - these are only temporary but that you are with us to guide us and protect us.
Keep us doing the best we can - with good intentions to deliver good outcomes. Bless us,grow us, protect us and encourage us daily.
Amen

Just got off the phone with 2 credit card companies. In exchange for agreeing not to use the cards (which we have not used in over 12 months already) they are willing to drop the interest rates AND the monthly payment amounts. One will be paid off in 12 months, the other in 60 months! The added cah=sh flow will allow us to continue to pay off tha other debts and still put food on the table.
God is so good!
O come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;
let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
